Our Beginnings
Red River traces its beginnings to the 1970s and the world's largest sunflower seed processing operation in the Red River Valley in the north central Great Plains.

Our Growth
Red River's growth has accented that of our industry. As we increased our U.S. and international base for confectionary sunflower seeds, we developed opportunities to provide our customers with many other product lines. We entered the import market and broadened our "product portfolio" to include cashews and dried fruits such as apricots, pineapple, and papaya. Soon we began supplying almonds, pine nuts, macadamias, and other tree nuts. We then entered the international markets for newly popular items such as rice cracker mixes and peanut snax.

Our Offices
Our home office is in Richmond, Virginia, and our companion office is in Camarillo, California, about midway between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Our subsidiary in Seattle, Gold Harbor Commodities, Inc., imports numerous products from Asia and exports fresh produce to the Pacific. Gold Harbor administers our pine nut operations by Golden Pacific Foods, our subsidiary in Dalian, China. From our office in Malatya, Turkey, the heart of Turkey’s apricot producing region, we provide the world’s finest dried apricots.

Our Strength and Our Commitment
We have always believed that the fundamental strength of any business is the integrity with which it conducts its affairs. Integrity is the foundation stone of our business operations and we bring it to each transaction. Red River has enjoyed years of successful business relationships as a result, relationships which have brought us lasting friendships as well as loyal customers.

We continually commit ourselves to supplying customers with quality products and to providing reliable market advice and consistent, dependable service. We consider it our obligation to work with and for customers during difficult circumstances as well as during times when supplies are plentiful and transactions easily concluded.
