About Pepitas

Pepitas are edible seeds of pumpkins or other squash varieties. Typically flat, oval, and ranging from brown to green, these seeds are commonly referred to as the roasted end product. 

• Used in trail mixes, snack bars, cereals, bakery products, and as a standalone snack
• High in protein (8.5 grams per handful), vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids
• Three main types: NE and NW "shine skin" pepitas with light brown hulls, and GWS without a hull
• Processed for quality and safety with a validated 5-log reduction in pathogens
