About Quinoa

Quinoa is a seed from a tall, leafy plant related to spinach, beets, and chard, known as a pseudo-cereal due to its similar use to traditional cereals.

  • Quinoa flour and flakes serve as flour substitutes in various applications, including pasta and baking mixes
  • High in nutrients, with larger grains compared to other varieties
  • Most quinoa from this region is organic and produced by smallholder family farms
